Just Do It.

Do you suffer from analysis-paralysis?

If you don’t know what that is then you don’t need to worry about it, you don’t have it.

If you do know what that is chances are you suffer from it, as do I!

When I say suffer, I mean SUFFER!

It is not fun to be so absolutely frozen with indecision even about the little things. For instance, the following “conversation” can be heard pretty much any day of the week and twice on Sunday in my life:

Husband: “Where do you want to eat?”

Me: “I don’t know.”

Husband: “What do you want to watch?”

Me: “I don’t know.” OR just to mix it and prevent him from becoming suspicious or annoyed I may say, “I don’t care-you pick!”

“I don’t know does tend to get a bit monotonous!

Then there are the other monumental (said with much sarcasm) decisions such as what to wear, which project to work on first, which booth to sit in at the diner, which pen to use and so on. It’s exhausting, friends. Exhausting, I tell you! So I really try to be more decisive, to just jump right in there.

And there have been times when I have decided to just make a decision already and I’m happy for it. Such as starting this podcast. I’ve wanted to start a podcast for over a year now and had other ideas about one-it was The Wellness Place and I was going to inverses a bunch to different people all surrounding health and wellness. But, The Storyteller Station is much more my forte. And I'm excited about it because I’ve thought more about the interviews and about telling stories and have decided I’d like to expand the interviews and the invitations to join The Storyteller Nation Facebook group to people who tell stories in pictures and with art, not just the crafters who use words. I’m really excited about this idea because we are moved emotionally and spiritually in different ways. For me, words will do it every time, but there are moments in art and photography that capture emotion for me and that tell a story that words could only dare to attempt to describe.

If you suffer from analysis-paralysis, I encourage you to take that step, that hop, that leap into whatever it is you have been inspired to do but just haven’t allowed yourself to go for. Just do it! We need your vision, your input, your creativity in our world!

This is one space where I overcame my analysis-paralysis and I am so glad I just did it. I have gained more clarity and focus on my mission and what I want to give to my creative community and to the world through taking the leap of faith and just starting the thing! Through Storyteller Station it is my mission to open up a space for all to share, a place where you can inspire others and where you can be inspired, a place where we not only talk about the power of words but the power of story shared in any modality.

I want to move people to create and be great! The End.

So whatever you're spending too much time contemplating or coming up with a millions reasons why it "might not" work...stop thinking and just start! You won't know if it will fly until you try! You can quote me on that!
